Internet Marketing Horror Stories

Here's a two of ours:
I Fell for The Greatest Vitamin In The World,what a load of crap that was.I even fell for the hard pitch to upgrade my site.Which was just a splash page that lead to the original site.So the original
site was $39.95 and the upgrade was a whopping $2,500. plus another $400 minimum in outside advertisement and a $19.95 a month for their alleged web site promotion and hosting fees.
A grand total of $2,959.90 Ouch!
My wifes fiasco Herbal Life,another $2,500 plus buying their leads another $500.00.Also a constant barrage from her sponsor to buy more expensive leads at two hundred a month(no way).
This program runs like Amway in my opinion,sign up as many people you can and pressure them to buy useless leads etc.
So about a year later and Five Grand Lighter in our pockets we have sent back what product of Herbal Life we still had at a 75% of what we paid minus a 10% restocking fee.In effect getting back
only 65% of what we paid for the product.
The Greatest Vitamin In The World is remarkably out of business,go figure..I did however receive an email from them stating they where going to refund my money.I'm not holding my breath on that one.
We are learning the hard way,if it sounds to good to be true,most likely it isn't.So Stay away!
